My male harlequin shrimp passed and I can't for the life of me figure out why. My tank, a 70 gallon Cadlights is 8 months old and parameters are as follows:

SG 1.025
PH 8.21 (fluctuates between 8-8.3)
Ammonia 0
Nitrate. 02 (low I know)
Nitirie
Temp 78-79 degrees
Running carbon in a reactor

This happened at what appeared to be the molting phase. My cent livestock:

Mated pair Midnight clowns
1 Bangai cardinal
1 Yellow watchman/pistol shrimp
1 female Harlequin

Any help would be appreciated.

+1 above not enough food for the pair, my guess you will soon loose the female too unless you start adding a chocolate chip start weekly.

There was a single 'tile' star that they just finished eating a couple of days ago.
