So I purchased one about a week ago. I got it so that it would take care of my astrea starfish population. Well after about a week a with no interest from my harlequin shrimp to the astrea, I decided to buy a chocolate chip star so that it wouldnt starve to death. When I placed the CC star in the tank, it went for it immediately as expected, but after a day, it looks to have given up on it since it could kill it. Should i just cut one of the legs and try feeding it that way? It maybe too big for the harlequin to handle the entire cc star. What are your past experience that made it easier?

Mine have always been very aggressive towards the CCs. I used to feed them whole ones all the time. Now a days i cut legs off to make the food last a little longer though.

they are very slow eaters and will often hack off a piece and carry it around with it and eat it slowly so you should chop legs off - and he probably is eatting your astreas but it does take time for them to go away especially if you have a lot

I just added one a about a week ago and it's wiped out all my astreas, I think when it comes time to feed it CC's I'm only going to cut a leg off at a time and i'm going to get a few of them so i dont have to kill one just for it to eat.
