Hello, I just acquired a Harlequin Tuskfish. It is about 4 inches and supposedly about 6 years old. My tank is 45 gallons. It is the largest of my 4 fish for sure. The others are a coral beauty a midnight clown and a golden sailfin blenny. I was told he probably shouldn't get any larger so he would be fine in my tank. He is eating very well and he is very active. Is this ok to have this size fish in my tank as long as it doesn't get any bigger?

Yah trade that guy at 4" that tank is small for him ! Sorry those are awesome fish I know I sure want one but haven't due to tank size

Sleep eat reef repeat !!!

I agree, even at 4" I would recommend finding it a bigger home. 125 gallon minimum IMO.

I would really like to keep the fish for even just a year then maybe pass him on. At 4 inches he doesn't seem too out of place. My tank is a breeder style tank and total I have about 8.5 inches of fish. Are there any ways I might be able to tell if he is unhappy in the tank? Currently swimming around and I have lots of rock work for him to move between

he will rearrange any loose rubble for you had an Australian harlequin loved that fish he was about 6" in my 180
