Harlequin Tuskfish with other wrasses?

Have had Harley for a couple of years. He does not like my melenarus to the point that he had his entire rear fin in his mouth and was trying to gobble him whole. I saved the Melenarus (who is 4 inches BTW) from Harley (7 inches) and now they are in separate tanks. Thar’s just my experience. Of course the bigger the tank (this was in a 240g) the better chance of success I suppose.

How big is your tank & do these two wrasses that you are thinking to add already can co-exist?

The tank is a 71” RedSea XXL750. The two wrasses I added were in separate QT’s. Initially the Sunset wrasse set out to be a bully. I placed a mirror on the end of the tank and everyone seems to be getting along. All are around 6”. The broomtail will eventually be moved into a much larger tank that I am in the planning stages of.

Mine is a Reefer xxl900 and proved to not be big enough to prevent the assault! However the broom tail and H. TUSK have much more girth and thus might work.

I see. It’s a 200G tank that’s 71”x26”x24”.

IMO, unless your hard scape is done exceptionally well to create pathways while blocking out direct views, the sunset will tear the tusk apart as most tusks are only aggressive looking but not really like that. Idk much about the boom tail but will have to guess its fate will be about the same as the tusk if it has a comparable personality. Suggest to rehome the sunset.
