i really like your set up, but i have to make two comments - not meant to offend - so i hope you take this as intended - my opinion and nothing more you have a nice tank and an awesome sump system!
1) scrape the back glass - i know many don't think that is important but it does add to the overall appearence - i never cleaned the back glass on my old tank but i have been converted - it just "narrows" the tank and you lose some of that infinity of the ocean when the back glass is coraline covered
2) build up the left side a little. the tank seems off balance to the right; mass, volume and height. artistically there should be a balance point. ie more mass on the right = more height on the left - you know what i mean? a little height on the far left island will add to the overall asthetic value
jmo of course and not meant as critism but suggestions... take or leave ok?

Again.. Your tank. Your hard work. very nice!!
Nice looking Tank Harry. I came over after you posted on the fishroom thread!!! Awesome looking fish room I must say. Hopefully when its all said and done mine will look just as nice!!! Patience and Time I say Patience and Time!

Great looking tank, but I have to make two opinions of my own..
1.) Do what you want with the back of your tank. It's your tank. You know what you like.
2.) Do what you want with your Aquascaping. Like I do with mineAgain.. Your tank. Your hard work.
I never understood why somebody would think other tanks are "not right" or less then good, because it's not the setup they would use. Please
understand. These are only my opinions and they are not meant to offend anybody.
superman cyphestrea. not too good with spelling but looks sweet when it carpets out

very nice system Harry, love the zoo garden......I wish I had a basement for all my equipment,I love how organized it all is,very clean.....your stand looks great too.....if you can build that, you could build a plywood tank![]()
I'm interested in this overflow drain. Does it make a loud gargling noise? Is it as quiet as an internal overflow?
Any updates? How's this tank doing? I really like the setup of the sump and frag tank. It looks like you are quite the DIYer
Really nice set up Harry, Im from Liverpool also. I lived off RT.370 just outside village, altho I moved to Florida 4 years ago....JohnnieThank you,
I need to take some new pictures.
I just switched over to an algae scrubber instead of a skimmer.
So time will will tell, how well that works out.
I'm in the process of setting up pumps, switches and hoses to make
water changes a matter of flipping switches and spinning valves.
