Is there a way to harvest Chaeto without killing Pods? I’m thinking of shaking the Chaeto before harvesting, but afraid I’m adding bad stuff back to the tank.

Just shake it. No way to get all the pods back into the tank unfortunately.

You can shake it over the fuge. Then swirl the chaeto in a large bowl of tank water. You can then pick out the pods one by one.
And as mitch said

I shake the chaeto I export in a container of tank water, then pour the water full of amphipods back in the tank. Fishy feeding frenzy.

Bad stuff like detritus?

Pull the chaeto, dunk and rinse in a bucket of saltwater. Let most of the detritus settle and decant/pour off the top off the water(You will keep this portion). Most of the copepods will be in top portion of the water. Amphipods may like the detritus, and you can try to filter, but you could probably pick out the big ones there.
