Harvesting copepod culture without a seive.

I was unable to find a cheap seize thats fine enough for me to harvest my copepod culture and so was instead thinking to pass a peice of 100 micron filter sock material cut into squares through the culture to try trap as many as i could, then place this peice of material into my sump to let them drop out. Will this work? Obviously removing as much excess culture water as possible to reduce the amount of nutrients i bring over into the tank.

That will work just fine. Unless culture water has cyanide in it, no harm, in fact, you may be discarding larvae that you don’t see. When I grew pods in a macro agae refugium, I would prune macro and feed display tank with macro & pods at the same time

Yes, that will work just fine! Some of the eggs and tiniest nauplii may pass through, but you'll get most things with 100 microns.
