Has anyone bought a CB Harlequin Tusk?

Biota is currently selling them at 425 bucks a piece. The fish were bred by Wen-Ping Su of Bali Aquarich so has anyone actually bought one if so how’s it doing? Does it take pellets? And are they going to be bred in commercial quantities?

Overall, harlequin tusk are good eaters and adapt to most meaty foods such as Rods' or LRS.

Do you know about how old it was? This could be a similar thing we see in the captive bred yellow tangs in that they are a lighter color young but are perfectly fine as they mature.

@Zionas maybe send Biota or Bali a message / contact off their web portal and ask what they are eating. I know with Biota they usually list what they are feeding and eating. I did this with the pink square anthias and got a prompt response.

According to Biota's portal on the Harlequin Tusk:
They are feeding entirely on prepared diets and prefer a more meaty diet of frozen chopped silversides, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, Formula 2 frozen feeds, and DKI pellets.

I was actually thinking this same thing - most fish when young are a translucent white color and need some time to color up.

I bought one about 8 months or so ago and it’s growing and very colorful, the blue is beautiful with the orange and white with the tail showing red indicating Australian. He eats everything and I got him tiny an inch or so! He’s in a 150 reef

Here is mine. Not captive bred but she did have the eye spots and was young when I got her. This is her now. @vetteguy53081 do you know if shes an Aussie one? Her colors have really deepened in the last month or so. Was told it was a Philippines

This is pacific not aussie

Beautiful! It’s not Australian the tell sign for Australian is the reddish tail fin
