Would love to just use the single return pump on my tank to power the UV Steralizer and GFO/Carbon, but I haven't seen anyone build one or information on how to do so. Space around the sump is a little tight thanks to the ATO reservoir and I'm curious if anyone has figured that out already.

Thanks for the link @blaxsun ! I guess I just need to know how I'd go about planning out the space. How much space you you need to maybe 2-3 valves an then you can just plumb it to the return instead of this Y action here, yeah?

Do you have a variable speed return pump - and what kind of UV and media reactor are you running? You might be further ahead just running a separate media reactor in the skimmer or media chamber and running the entire output of the return pump through the UV - which may eliminate the need for a manifold altogether.

Sure do. Have a Varios 4 return and a CoraLife Twist 3 UV Steralizer. Running the return through the UV directly is likely too much flow to target the critters I'm after. According to the chart, I need the flow in the UV to be 55gph to target parasites up to 235gph for Bacteria. I'd like to be able to adjust for the things I'm targeting (though likely staying in one place for a good amount of time)

I have a GFO/Carbon reactor, just trying to figure out how to get in working as well without adding yet another pump, which is why I was digging into a manifold.

I super appreciate the input here.

OK. I did it. Built a two manifold returns for my Reefer XL 300 (Probably G2)
Pictures and parts list attached. Curently running a GFO/Carbon Reactor and a UV Filter off this manifold. Added a ReefRun 5500 Pump to power the thing. Replaced my Varios, but only for better integrated control.

You'll notice the ball valves are a bit offset from square to accommodate for the cabinet wall. The 25mm to 3/4" Union actually helps align the whole thing since it's a bit of a tight fit. Good news is it still fits with the stock ATO reservoir. One last thing, I tried to add one more valve on the back wall, but it just won't fit with the reservoir.

Thanks for the links @blaxsun

nice man I really thought about doing the same for my 300XL. in the end I went with 2 small pumps as I have a HUGE skimmer + roller mat for my high bio-load seahorse tank.
but man you did a great job!! if I need to make one I am fallowing this for sure!

Yeah I was specifically trying to open up two outlets by not using the pumps for wattage and noise issues, but this also makes the tank easier to maintain for helpers while I’m on vacay! Thanks for the compliments!
