Im creating a book for my tank (mainly for the kiddos) that shows each type of fish and a few details about each one. I plan on doing this for coral, inverts and maybe even equipment. I think it would be cool for friends kids to keep looking for all the different fish and corals in the book. It also will help me keep names of each coral.

Im just gonna print it onto 4x6 flash cards for now, i might get better quality later.

Any Ideas that could help this?

I think this is a fantastic idea. I'll have to do my own when I get my tank up and running. Maybe obvious but laminate each page and use a stainless steel ring to hold them together?

I would if you haven't already take actual photos of your fish and use those. Though you probably have lol

I haven’t made a book but I used to print off info on each fish and coral I bought so the wife knew how to care for them with all my travels. Now the wife knows more about the care of my fish then I do as see googles stuff and corrects me on what to feed them all the time !!! Lol

Im going to laminate them at some point, but my kids are 1 and 3. I want them to name every fish (or species) and have them on the card, so for now i wana write the name down. Definitly going to use the steel ring idea!

Well if you really want to get ambitious you can laminate them all and laminate names on separate tags. Apply adhesive velcro to where the name place is on the card and on the back of the name tags themselves. Viola!

This gives you kind of a matching game, you can do the same with the scientific names as well.

Unless you want them to learn the spelling too and have them write it out. In this case you can still laminate each card and use a dry erase marker, the good ones will write on laminated plastic and you can just wipe the writing away.
