So I've had this chalice for almost a year. I grew really well a couple months and then stopped. First picture is from when I got it in Jan 2020.

And this is what it looks like now...

The white streaking started out around 4 months ago and has grown and grown. White areas are growing faster than the coral as a whole.

Anyone know what would cause this? I have several more chalices near it and none show this localized lack of zooxanthellae.

Bacterial maybe?
I had a jackoLantern that did somethimg similar looking.
Eventually only a spec was left.
1 year later its the size of a 50 cent piece and is doing well in the same spot.
I almost glued another frag in its place.

Bacterial..... so maybe the corals "immune system" is fighting it which is why the bleaching has been slow and slowed down growth. It's a cheap $5 frag so I'm not too worried about it. It is a couple inches away from my space invader chalice which wasn't cheap and one of my favorites, but i doubt moving it to the other side of the frag tank will make it any less likely to get infected if it is bacterial. thanks for the input!
