Im curious if anyone has kept track of their PAR readings from the time they got their LEDs to now?
I know manufacturers say they don't lose PAR like T5 and Halides, but you can say anything you want I would like some data to support that.

If you have, post numbers and the type of fixture. Thanks Jason

As long as the LEDs are kept cool, they will outlast their L70 rating by a good margin, the power delivery circuits and fans will fail before they will.

This is very interesting.

I now run LED’s over both my tanks. But back when I had T5s, I asked the same question about seeing numbers. Everyone SAID they lost PAR over time, but no one could provide the numbers. I asked on a couple sites and got nada! So like a good little sheep, every year I would change out the bulbs.

Now about a year or two ago I put 11 watt spotlight LEDs in the cans in my kitchen (Lights of America brand). The original light was very white and extremely bright. Last month my wife was complaining about how dim the counter had become. So I’ve now switched back to compact fluorescents in the cans. So for these LEDs, there definitely was fall off over time.

I’ll be watching this post. Thanks

PAR meters are a rare commodity among hobbyists, so I wouldnt expect to get more than maybe one reply from someone that has.

I'll test my radions when I get the new tank up and going. I ran them for about three weeks on my old tank just so I could see them and get them set up. I will borrow a PAR meter and test them out and then do it again in six month intervals.
