And if so, can you suggest how to remove the metal structure at the top? It was manufactured in China but the Chinese company is not responsive... Or, if you haven't repaired a tank like this but have any suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Unless you have a huge custom tank, any leaking tank is trash. If you don't already have the space and equipment to fix it, it's cheaper and easier to buy a new one. To properly repair a tank every pane needs to be removed, layed out, and cleaned with acetone before reassembling with all new silicone. The YouTube videos of people resealing a leaking tank or replacing one pane of broken glass are more like how-to videos on flooding your living room. If you do decide to repair your tank please make sure it's done properly.

It's really hard to tell from your pictures but it looks like the metal frame may be welded, if it is, the only way to get it apart would be to grind the welds off. It would be very hard to put it back together and would require the work of a very experienced welder so the glass isn't overheated

I want to say welcome and thank for joining.

That is a really neat tank. If I could, I would almost be willing to pay someone to fabricate a tank for that set up. But I also want to fly to Hawaii tonight on my plane:)

But keep us updated, maybe it can be bought back to life.

And again welcome

nah the glass should be decently safe from heat.... what would kill that glass is spatter and hot slag. you would have to meticulously cover the glass .one little bb and it's done (trust me I do this to my phone every year. you could tig it but really same outcome . you dip your tungsten once and get some splatter same outcome. but still like he said itd be insanely expensive figure bare minimum 400 for a welder to cut it and reweld it

Your explanation of the welding was much better than mine but that sounds like experience!
