So these are white fuzzy areas all over my monti’s. They primarily appear after the lights go out and nearly all but disappear during the day. They started with this piece and now are on most of my others.

The only thing that’s changed is that I️ dosed epsom salt for one of my fish a couple weeks prior this this starting. 1tsp/5g.

Anyone seen this before?

Does it blow off with a turkey baster?

Are they mesenterial filaments in a stress response from changes in water quality?
 
Anyone know if/how pH impacts solubility of epsom salt? Where I'm going is - I wonder if the change in pH from night to day is causing some of the salt to fall out of solution.

It's a random guess for sure; never seen that before. Following along though...
 
Salty. Is the feeding response reactionary due a need for extra food? This is something brand new for these guys after a year of growth so I’m puzzled.
