Has anyone that pre-ordered seen their ION Director yet?

I know for a fact it is in the USA. I also know a few that actually have it. Don't ask , as I am not sure if I can tell.

ThIs statement says so much about the current situation and GHL in general. It's not going out to the first ones to order. It's going out to the ones they want to have it to protect their integrity. They know there's issues and they don't want it public info. Just like the beta testers. They chose the testers and made them swear secrecy. All to protect their integrity. They've known all along there's issues. They've been lying to the people that supported them.

The IOND is coming and those that wait, I feel, will be rewarded with a AWESOME piece of testing equipment. I actually respect GHL to hold the current shipment of IOND's that is in the USA due to the probe issue, and will not send it out until they get the updated probes. Its a risky move, BUT, it tells me that they will not release a product, until it is ready at their own risk of their name. GHL is taking a beating over this, BUT, they will not release a inferior product to please the masses. They are taking a beating because they will not send out a product that will not live up to what they envisioned, because of the probe. TO ME, that means a lot. When I do receive it, I will know that GHL sent me the best product that is available.

Rewarded? I guess I missed out of my awesome piece of machinery trophy- after I invested my money expecting what they promised 2 years ago. Thank god I stopped rewarding their behavior.

ALL people really want is to be told what's going on. It's quite simple really. We've been waiting two years and nobody knows if or when they should be expecting it or if it's even going to work as advertised and promised. We've all seen these things go bad before. People have lost money on failed product before. GHL is their own worst enemy at this point. Leaving people to speculate and guess what's going on. That's bad PR no matter how anyone looks at it.

No pre-sales, I have spoken to Vinny directly about the MAXI 2.2 and he said they have halted any and all work on it until the IOND is sorted out. It isn't even finished the finishing stages of design and they were teasing it back in June. I don't want to be teased. I want a manufacturer to advertise something they ACTUALLY have in there hands, ready to sell. With a set date say a month or two out. This whole teasing a product and releasing it 1-2 years later is sickening. I was totally looking forward to ordering a MAXI because I LOVE my Doser 2.1. However I'll be lucky to get one next December at this rate and I can't wait that long.

I would kind of doubt it would sink the ship unless he really over extended himself cash wise. The systems come paired up with Dosing pumps, so those can always be sent back into inventory. He has not produced the probes in quantity yet so the material expenses used are probably not high. It's really just the circuit boards (cheap) and maybe the metal case that cannot be reused.

This is all worst case scenario stuff.

I bet even the shells can be used for there KHDirector, it certainly looks like the same case anyway with the probe in the same spot. I agree I seriously doubt it would sink the ship, Dosers, lights, controllers, fans and so on. The company has enough to fall back on to keep itself going.

Not such a secret anyway. There is a guy on here in the USA with a build thread and he has an iOND and does not sound like a Beta Tester.

They are taking a beating because they will not send out a product that will not live up to what they envisioned, because of the probe. TO ME, that means a lot. When I do receive it, I will know that GHL sent me the best product that is available.

If I was GHL the one thing that would keep me up at night is shipping out 5000 of these units and then finding out the probes are dying within the warranty period. This is a scenario that could actually lead to the demise of GHL.

They would have two choices.
Suck up the expense for a second probe every time a customer buys one .
OR
Recall the units and refund the customers. They would be doing that knowing that all the recalled units would be pretty much useless and the Dosing pumps could only be sold as used or for parts.
