hello,
As my topic says above I have recently got some chaeto in my sump and wanted to know if my 45watt cfl 6500k can grow it? Its a couple inches above the water hanging additionally I have an LED Bar with three different leds on it red blue and white as shown on the picture below. On your opinion do you guys think the chaeto have any chance to grow in the sump or I have to get somthing else?

You should be more than fine with that. Just watched a video on this from BRS.
Of note, they were using a $6 clip on cf bulb and reflector and got nitrates/phosphates down to zero in the tank. You could do better with a more powerful light, but the setup you have should be enough to bring down nitrates and phosphates. Of note you will still have algae in the main tank, but the setup you have there should compete with the algae in the tank for nutrients as well as be a great medium for growing pods.

Im glad someone with information answered here. Thank you very much, i have pods living in the tank they live in the display tank. Algae on my display glass have reduced from the first day I have added the chaeto. So I thought the lights I have is bad for it. It has been 3 days I have got the chaeto all the way from UK to Northern Iraq Erbil im glad that it made it and i get it growing well in the little DIY plastic fuge.

I have had that for few days now and around 35% of chaeto has turned brown, i switched off the cfl now let the two LEDs run on the chaeto. One of the LEDs are 7 watt the other is 4 watt im assuming the chaeto is dead with what I have now :( dont know what to do. What I had there was a fail and now I dont know what to do. I think the light was too much and I burned the poor macro algae.

The LEDs have few reds, some blue and white I suspect the whites are day light leds so dont know what to do at rhe moment and I strugled alot until I got that bit of chaeto to my sump. :( :( :(
