My nitrates are running high on my reefer and had a container of this stuff lying around. I decided to give it a try. Has anyone had experience using it? Im using 250ml bag which states to lower 10ppm nitrate in 125 gallons of tank water. Im running around .08 po4 and 30 no3... Corals are looking like dookie and algae is getting a bit on the noticable side... I tested big 3 and ca is running around 400 and alk is around 7 which I know is low... Upped the b-ionic to 20 ml a day each... Am I just freaking out? Wanted to treat nitrates first and see what happens... any input would be greatly appreciated

I'd be highly skeptical since they don't advertise what the resin is made from. I wouldn't expect this "resin" to do much, if anything at all.

You can experiment with some organic carbon dosing.

Did not work at all... wow... actually got worse... just took it out and ordered some nopox...

I would just advise to do more water changes and let it take care of itself eventually

I´ve used a resin that worked very, very well: Aquatic Nature Nitrate Stop M(arine).
The Blue Life Nitrate FX resin, which I tought was nice because regenerable, did not work at all. When I took a closer look at the label I noticed that is was only suited for fresh water... As a rule saltwater nitrate resins cannot be regenerated. In "the olden days", anyway.
I´ve seen a label from Blue Life which states it is also suitable for salt water. Maybe a different (newer) product than I bought?
