I was just looking at the DYI kits on the website has anyone built one and what colours should I use?

What's the over all heat temp of the lights cause I'm looking for something around 20000k

Pick a good mix for a more broad spectrum. I have seen a mix with 420, 440, 450, 3500k, 6500k and 10000k. The great thing about it having a programmable controller is you have 6 channels to use for each color so that you can customize it however you like

And can you suggest what colours I should get

Those 6 colors work well. something like this:

Channel 1= all 420
Channel 2= all 440
Channel 3= all 450
Channel 4= 1/2 440, 1/2 3500
Channel 5= 1/2 440, 1/2 6500
Channel 6= 1/2 440, 1/2 10000

I'm not sure, but 1 channel may have to be used for the fans. If so you could get away without the 10000k all together

So is the k amount accumulative ??

Not too sure exactly what you mean. With the controller you can turn the channels from 0%-100% intensity. You have blue channels and white channels. You can dial in the colors to what you want that way

I use rapidled and reefledlights. My fixture is 1/1 ratio royal blue to cool whites. But I would suggest 2/1 ratio royal blue to cool white. I threw in one of their total spectrum uv LEDs for moonlight and broader spectrum range.

Have a Rapid Led with a controller 3 channels I am happy with it have it over a 20 Long
