I use two t5 fixtures over my 72 inch 150 one is 48 inchs one is 24 because i want full coverage on my tank.

I need new bulbs in the 24 inch fixture they are 1 year old exactly and i can deff tell they need replaced. The 48 inch fixture the bulbs are only 4 months old.

I use two ati blue plus two ati coral plus. In each fixture. It iritates me that no local fish store in northern va sells t5s anymore at least when i called around. So i gatta order online. As i was looking i found some brand called wave point.

They have 2 packs on amazon of a super blue. And a two pack of one called coral wave. Onky 26$ per pack thats as much as one ati bulb. Spectrum charts look identical.

Has anyone used these before ? One thing i dont want is the color to ve different on one side of my tank due to different bulbs lol. But if they are nearly identical and only last say 6-8 months im fine with that as id rather spend 55$ for 6-8 months (im just assuming they will last 6-8) then 100$ for 8-12 months. Specially being cash strapped.

I will tell you though the ati at 12 months deff dont last 12 months. They have been much much dimmer for the last 3 months then the other side of my tank and even the bulbs have a slight black line through em. So why pay 100$ for 8 months.. If i can pay 55$ for 6-8 months

But yea i got this mentality that ati is better then everything

I have used Wavepoint bulbs in the past and they grew coral just fine. I prefer the look of ATI bulbs (Particularly the Blue Plus) to the Wavepoint but corals didn't seem to care.

Spectrum may be close, but the look in the tank is different. The Wave Point bulbs are not as "bright" looking, if that makes sense. I use them, and have no complaints, especially at their price point.
