Doctor called during second period. I answer the phone and he immediately started laughing. Asked how I felt and advised me to get a pump and stop using my mouth. He’ll give me meds if I start feeling sick. And humans can’t catch Uronema. LOL

Pretty sure I burned off my gums with the vodka.

Birthday cake vodka is terrible… I’ll stick to real cake.

Told him I felt okay. No issues yet. He asked what copper power was. I explained and he laughed, “well that’s not good.” He also said mouth wash would have been fine. (I did that too.)

He knows. Last time I went, there were mental health questions to answer (annual physical) and I spoke about the aquariums. I probably made his day though. My students thought it was hilarious. I can only imagine what it sounded like to them.

now imagine that, i was emptying a 4 feet cichlid tank, removing sand as the water was getting lower and lower...and darker and darker...
Had to syphon a last time near the end of the process, didn't empty the hose loop first...almost choke to death on pooped filled muddy water...i can still remember the taste, lasted for hours.

That’s what happened. I broke the siphon. Went to restart, but didn’t clear the loop first. Commence choking. LOL

Is that when you switched to salt? LOL

Today was great. Finished 30 days of copper. But I lost the Possum Wrasse to Uronema.

Sometimes I forget that even though I'm not what I would consider "rural" I'm definitely on the country side of things. I would have never even for a second thought to call or reach out to a doctor even if I DID swallow some of that water. As my father would say, "a little dirt is good for ya, builds your immune system." If I recall correctly I once got some manure in my mouth and my great grandfather told me, "don't spit that out, that's worth good money!"
