Hello everyone, ive recently bought a 150L marine tank with a built in sump.
I wanted to get into marine so did my research and learned most of it but like most things you learn more doing then you read (At least I do).
But I wanted to make sure i've got everything before I attempt to add fish (2 clownfish 1 lawnmower blenny 1 yellowhead jawfish and some corals later-ish) obviously not at the same time.
So I have the return pumps from the sump and the protein skimmer (they came with the tank)
I have a 200 watt heater, 2 wave makers to create the currents, a LED light, test kits for Amonia, nitrate and nitite and a refractometer and of course the filters

Is there anything in your knowledge that im missing?
And is it normal to be worried something will go wrong like my tank bursting?

Welcome to R2R glad you joined us. You will need some sort of export. Think you have the basics covered for minimum start. Do you have maintenance kits?

You can add corals early on, there are many easy corals to try. Zoas, mushrooms, leathers, etc. (softies).

What sort of stuff for maintenance kits?

I’m sorry it’s not one you buy more like one you put together. 5 gallon Buckets, algae scrapper, magnet float for glass, gravel vac like python maybe. Mr clean magic eraser unscented, fish net, hydrometer, salt mixing power head like a maxi jet they are cheap, and small heater used to heat water prior to putting it in your tank. You can add and take away from this.

You’ll never get to the end of your list, just as you think you have you think of another 5 things you need.

I’m onto my 5th list.

Very true. There is always something else you want. However, i think there are certain bare bone essentials like food, buckets, siphon, extra pump and heater for WCs so on.

I would pick up a phosphate test kit as well. Some foods are more phosphate heavy and some are more nitrate heavy (both waste products)

One thing I would recommend is a heater controller. Someone from this forum recommended that to me and I'm glad they did. They suggested an Inkbird which I got (the ITC-306A) and it seems to work pretty good, I'm happy with it.

As far as worrying about tank problems just make sure you have a strong enough stand for it and that it is perfectly level and flat, and you should be good.

Ato .to replace evaporation rather than topping off by hand ( remember water evaporates and salt stays in tank so replace with rodi only)
When get corals or just before get Po4 test and calcium/ magnesium maybe
Coral feeder/turkey baster is handy
Coral grabber even handier .
Rodi unit to make your own rodi water
Containers to store rodi.
List just goes on and on and on lol
