Have you ever put phosphates on a doser?

My phosphates get depleted sooo quickly. I think it drops 0.02ppm-0.04ppm per day (and yes, I do feed very heavily to try to get it higher), but it’s always a downward trend. Sometimes it drops to 0.00 (ULR Hannah), so I’m definitely getting into the danger zone.

Nitrates don’t trend downward; they trend upward (but it’s manageable with other methods).

I made a solution of phosphates and I put it on my doser. Planning to dose 0.02ppm per day to my system for starters. Plus I will test daily initially to ensure the dosage isn’t too high nor too low. I’d like to maintain my PO4 ideally around 0.05ppm-0.10ppm

I guess I’m wondering if anyone has done this? Putting phosphates on a doser? I’ve been putting this off for a long time, but I feel good knowing that I won’t have to worry about phosphates dropping anymore. :)

I have been dosing phosphates automatically for a 6 months. Has helped to finally stabilize my tank and improve all my problem corals

That’s great! One of my biggest concerns with putting phosphates on a doser was that I was scared that one day the phosphate consumption would just stop and my levels would rise every day from the doser, and I wouldn’t find out until I tested.

How much ppm do you dose per day?

I struggled with double zero for a couple years. Hand dosing just wasn't keeping my numbers up.
and my tank is fairly coral light compared to most reef tanks.

Just be aware, this has happened to me and is to be expected. My rocks reached equilibrium at one point, until I added more dry rock. Just another reason as to why I test daily until it’s reached.

Will do!

I’d worry dosing for a lengthy time . Eventually the rocks and sand will not absorb it anymore

it’s most likely bound somewhere in the system or you have some sort of phosphate removing media .
