Have You Ever???

Have you ever gone to the LFS and bought a random no name frag. Got in your car, and then IMMEDIATELY regretted it??? Then you put it in your tank and every time you see it you think to yourself "Man that $20 woulda looked better in here than this thing"

Self loathing and depression slowly take over. You can't sleep and when you do you wake in a cold sweat. You stop leaving the house. You lose everything you once cared for. Your life is in shambles.

But then...something miraculous happens! That ugly duckling coral you bought all those days ago has turned into a beautiful butterfly! (Not good at nursery rhymes). And now its you're favorite coral! Your prized possession! Your...precious.


For those of you who are too lazy to read all of that what I want to know is: Has anyone bought a crappy looking frag, hated it, and then it colored up and now you love it?!

I took my daughters with me to the lfs as I usually do. They picked out the ugliest brown paly rock. For $5 I bought it figuring the rock was worth almost that much. The brown palys turned into a deep purple with green specks all over. Quite a nice paly after all.
