Reefing is an expensive hobby. I'm sure everyone knows, or will know this soon. It's even more expensive when you have livestock losses. It seems that sooner or later, despite our best efforts, things don't always work out. Even the most seasoned expert has coral and fish loss.

With the notion of live animals perishing, which is always sad, aside...
How much money (in retail price) do you estimate you have had in livestock loss? Or are you the unicorn in reefing?
(I hope some businesses chime in here, but I know they have their reputations to consider.)

I had about $500 in my tank of livestock (most of it is my designer clowns and corals) but I lost $120 because I lost a $60 fire shrimp, a $30 wheelers goby, and a $30 anemone crab
