People often think that sps tank is the most challenging tank to keep and be successful but I think that a mix tank is the toughest.
The reasons are as follows:
1. Need to control flow for different types of coral. You cannot just have high flow everywhere
2. Need to control lighting and coral placement. You cannot just put most corals on the top and blast the light.
3. Feeding is more difficult. You cannot just depend on lighting to do the "automatic" feeding for sps/lps. Some LPS need special type of feeding.
4. Last but not least...... chemical warefare.
