greetings

I am having a problem with the reef2reef web site. When I first registered for this site, I had no problems.

The last week it has taken several minutes for each page to load. I tried logging off and reloading but it hasn't helped.

I have had no issues with the many different groups I visit. Just this site.
This computer is brand new and is lightning fast all other sites.

I tried linking up to some of the sponsors and their sites are working fine.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? HELP!!

i have a different problem with the site where everything loads fine and all of a sudden nothing works on the site and I have to close my web browser. other sites work perfectly fine..

Weird I never have a problem. Might be a little slow sometimes when I have a new PM and the pm notification box is opening.

I use my iPhone 80% of the time and it downloads pretty fast for me too.

On the satellite at home, I also experience both of these issues. No trouble with broadband access from school. Like the others, I have no issues with any of the other reefing sites I visit, at least two of which are larger. The issues for me started showing up with the last site upgrade, and I assume is has something to do with the fact that all the ads and everythings loads everytime you access the site (perhaps I'm wrong, cause I'm only guessing). At any rate, trying to access PMs and/or multiple pages of new posts almost always freezes up the browser or takes at least 3 to 5 minutes per page to load. I usually walk away from the computer and come back to either a blank screen or the page finally loaded.

Whoa really! I have no idea what the cause could be.

Check out Speedtest.net and make sure that your Internet Provider isn't skimming on the promised service level. Also remember that Wireless, at least right now, is nowhere near as fast for downloading that using an ethernet connection.

If it is only this site, perhaps it could have something to do with the actual TIME you are accessing the site. I know in my area, it's been an uphill battle getting our Cable Internet provider to "Admit" using Throttling techniques at certain times of the 24 hour day.

I've sent statistics to them for a few weeks, and all of a sudden... NO PROBLEM! They won't admit it for obvious reasons, but I know it happens. Hard to diagnose such a specific and unique problem remotely, but hopefully this helps.
