That seems like a bacteria infection to me. What par are the corals in? Have you done a recent ICP test?

Probably not the issue then. Any alk swings? Anything you have done differently with the tank past month?
No alk swings, on a calcium reactor and its been pretty stable. Only thing I changed is to weekly 10% water changes to bring trace back and reduce my zinc.

I believe tissue necrosis is the term used for this condition.
Consider an iodine dip? Being away from the hobby for a long time wondering if the treatment has changed.

I was suggested an iodine dip by a few other reefers. I will perform one tonight and pay close attention to see what comes off.

Tissue necrosis would be RTN or STN I'm pretty sure, actual death of the tissue. This is on my cyphastrea, on mine caused my a mixture of shading and black bugs.
