I got a ph module for my apex jr and have tried calibrated the probe at least 5 times now. I used the 7 and 10 solution packets and the probe either stays around 6 or 10 after calibration, could I have a defective probe?

How old is the probe? Could be it needs to be replaced.

Are you leaving it in solution untill it completely calibrates. It takes awhile. Other than that it might be the Apex. You can email Netune systems and they will respond quickly and help with any issues. Great customer support.

Do you let the calibration solution sit in the tank water for a few minutes to get it close to 77*?

Walk us through what you do. When I am calibrating, the numbers on my Apex are all over the place but have nothing to do with the PH of the liquid. I just wait until it stops changing for each solution (rinsing the probe in between solutions).

Once that calibration is done, I stick it back in one of the solutions to see how accurate it is. Usually right on the money.

try 5 to 10 minutes...when I calibrate my pH probe it takes 15-20 minutes...

Nvm, just read the forum on Neptune website. I didn't remove the plastic cap, I thought it was part of the probe. I feel about 2 foot tall right now.

We all do this kind of stuff. The cap is to keep he probe hydrated when not in use.

yup..agree..no worries, but to reinforced what herefishyfishy said, probe needs to be wet at all times..
