Wow, people still trying to make a fast buck selling fish like yellow tangs fromHawaii for triple the normal price. Bad for hobby!!! People won’t want to get into this hobby if people like this trick them into paying these prices!! Thanks

Just went to lfs and 350 for a kole tang 300 for small sailfin and 1000 for a achilies just ridiculous a. Milwaukee area not naming store though

Glad I’m maxed out on tangs lol. Crazy I will probably stop buying anything else at this point even cheap corals have doubled in price. 30 for pulsing Xenia crap most people flush it when it takes over.

Just don't buy them. It's free market. So they can price it whatever they want, and not much you can do about it. You can curse them online and here all you want, or even go protest in front of their store. But I don't see how it help things anyway.

I guess I got lucky. My LFS today had yellow that were 200, but I bought a sailfin for 40 and a orange shoulder for 80.

Dozens of threads on this topic all making essentially the same points ..... suggest letting the market settle. @Thomashtom did you not get the insight you were looking for in your other thread on this same topic. Stupid high prices on fish probably is bad for the hobby ....

Yellow tangs used to be a free "with $200 purchase" fish. I had one and gave it away when it became a bully.

That's the prices I just saw at a fish store I visited today also.

I get it but what bothers me is other hobbyists trying to make a buck by selling for example Yellow tangs to probably newbies for 3 or 4 times their normal price!! So just trying to make them aware! Thanks

The retail price is ridiculous. As my friend showed me the whole sale price/available from his supplier, you’ll be cursing the retail prices and the LFS!
