Is it normal to not have any polyp extension at all? It used to have some polyp extension that I would catch in the morning never during the day. Now I haven’t noticed anything. Color is still good and it looks healthy. I did rearrange some rock work a few days ago so thinking the change in flow pattern may have something to do with it. Is it a cause for an alarm yet? Everything else is doing okay.

Most acros will have the best polyp extension at night unless you are adding particulate foods to the water often. As long as there is no tissue necrosis, or extreme discoloration/bleaching, things should be fine.

Never see polyps or rarely they are out also grows like a weed

Mine are never out. If they are, then I look for trouble. Usually the only time that I see them if is if the pumps are off for a water change.

People do not like to believe me when I tell them that PE is not a sign of anything, either good or bad... look for something that is different than normal and having any PE on Hawkins is not normal for me.
