Hey all! I currently have a 2+ inch yellow watchman goby and I was hoping to get a longnose hawkfish. I've been researching and I've heard stories of them being fine and of the gobies being eaten. What are your personal experiences? Has anyone kept them together successfully? Is there a certain hawkfish that's more peaceful than others? Thanks!

I have both a longnose and a watchman they've lived in harmony in both my nano tank and now in our 100g. Goby is a digger and hider so it just disappears when it feels threatened. Every fish is different though so I would recommend introducing the longnose though a good acclimation... I always recommend QT'ing your fish first but that isn't always an option for folks. So if you can't when you add the longnose to your DT float it in something clear (bag, container) where all of your fish can see it. It helps to see how they will all react to one another, though I doubt the goby will swim to the top to check it out.
