HDPE Blue food grade barrels

Does anyone use the common blue HDPE barrels for mixing and storing saltwater?

I want to build a mixing station and mix 1 months worth of water at one time. I've read that there is a risk of coloured plastic leaching however these are food grade so should be ok....right? 3 of these connected together should give me enough capacity for 4 water changes plus 200l of spare RO.

Food grade is a huge plus. Fill barrel with water and vinegar and agitate then flush it out well with cold water and put to use
