Dang, maybe I should have done 2 of those instead of the current wave makers.
I never owned a wave maker, but nothing says you can't put 2 wave makers on one side and a gyre on the other. Or horizonal the gyre in the middle in the back.

That’s what I was thinking of doing was putting it horizontal on the back. I think that would create some really random flow.

Ok, that makes sense, I couldnt find the build treads but I did see one where you were looking for folks with Steves LEDs in a 29 and mention of a 32 for your son. Did you get the Steve's for the 29?

Nothing new to report today on the big tank other than making water for my ATO jug. We have battled the flatworms in the wife's tank for several hours and it looks like it will require one more treatment.

I am finally to the point I am sitting down relaxing in front of my tank for the first time. Granted I have sat down and looked at it for a few minutes here and there as it came together, but now I'm actually seeing the tank and life inside it. What a wonderful feeling it is to see your hard work, time and money come together. I am impressed on how silent and peacful this tank turned out.

Been a few days since I done anything to the tanks other than my daily duties. I did see a Ruby head fairy wrasse that caught my attention. Any one have any experience with these and can share pro's and con's? I had the wind knocked out of my sails with the wife's tank and decided it was time for a new shinny thing! I didn't think I was into the wrasse family but some of these guys are stunning.

A friend has a tiny yellow coris wrasse. Looks beautiful in white lights, but browns out under blues. I read your wife has one...tell me about it. I have some very tiny tank mates. I'm liking my friend's little guy.

Oh the wife little yellow Cori's! I love that little fish! Beautiful color, very active and very peaceful. There will be one in my tank someday, I read where these can get up to 5", so ya never know....it might be hers going into mine later on. Would I recommend this fish? Yes, I would without any hesitation from what I have experienced so far.

Thanks. Never been into wrasses. This little guy is growing on me.
