Not too familiar with Golds. I know they’re known to be feisty but in time she may let the male in too. My Darwin acted the same way for a little while but them let the male join her.
Oddly I always thought my tanks looked great coming back from a trip. Alomst like they appreciated a little neglect.

What a bummer, I got a great deal on an open box Tunze 3155 ATO. I finally started setting it up this morning. It doesn't work, the water level ok light stays on but nothing else seems to work. Zero alarms, no water pumping, I can mess with the floats and nothing. Plus side is it has a warranty. Guess I will have to go through the replacement process. I was so excited to get it going today...

Bummer. Ive had good luck with open box buys but I always worry a bit. Tunze is easy to work with though. Just post in their forum amd tag Roger Vitko. Rvitko i beleive is his username.

Just when you think everyone in the tank decided to play nice....
My female Gold finally quit beating up the male (for the most part), now she is going after my one spot foxface. He raises his spines but that doesn't stop her.

Ya, might not end pretty if the foxface nails her. She is mean, I stired my sand today and she tried snacking on my knuckles.

Well, I done my par tests last night...
With the tank so big and only running 2 hydra 26's I already knew I would have to add a couple more lights. I can grow just about anything in the center underneath the two as I suspected. I have 3 options.
1. 2 small pucks to cover the 2 ends, something that can hit deep on the cheap.
2. 2 hydra 52's and move the 26's to the ends
3. Keep mostly softies and direct SPS under the 26's.
I "think" with 2 52's I can get the coverage I'm looking for and repurpose the 26's on a planned future build. Decisions, decisions....

I thought about the Hybrids but it might be a challenge with the cutouts (bracing) om my tank. Ill take a good pic of the top.T5 hybrid and keep the 26s....

So, I am tossing around a Regal. But I don't want to shoot myself in the foot. I know I want the standard tourches, hammers, shrooms, frogspawn, monitpora, acans for sure. What is your experience with them and should I pass. It is 4-5 inches in size. Eating good and have been watching for a few weeks now. Nothing that sets off any alarms...externally

Thanks, me too. I chatted with govols a little, his was small when he got his. I know nothing about this one and being a little bigger might have some bad habbits.
