HD's 144 1/2 Moon

I’m still debating what to do myself. Can’t get the rock work back where I had it and the aiptasia has gone bananas with all of the chaos. May do a hard reboot and roll FOWLR. Probably moving come September so not sure how much effort its really worth giving. Deflated! :)
Very deflating, but you must admit, it's been a learning experience. In a sick twisted kind of way.

Looking at the pic it looks like more than velvet. Unless this is a secondary infection. I'm afraid it isn't though.

@ngoodermuth Can you give a diagnosis on this guy? The redness is scary.

Giving up in the last Scissortail and putting my rock back in. I did notice the red planeria fw's made it to my DT. To bad for them because now I don't have any fish in there to worry about. Gonna NUKE THEM!!! The only fun thing that will happen out of all this!

I wish I could help. I sincerely hope this works out sooner than later.
Thanks my friend, just another small hurdle. I'm learning a great deal so that's my positive take away from all this.

My Dad used to say "Did ya learn sumthin? Well, then, good. At least you aren't dumber than you were." ;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

I miss his wisdom.

Oh man. Last year, I was standing in ur shoes. I manged to save 6 fish out of 11. And that lead to me rushing the 125 I'm building now. I transferred all my rock, inverts, and coral to the 125 and let it run fallow on a canister for 77 days. I turned the 55g the outbreak occurred in, into a QT with hotb filters.

I spent those 77 days reading every article and post humblefish, dbl, and hotrocks made in the emergency forum, and fish disease and treatment forum going back 6 months.

It was a game changer for me, and thus gave birth to the "rags2riches Learning Curve" reboot. I wish you the best and keep of swimming man. We need passionate reefers like you around for the next generation. Someone has to take over for the vererans someday.. we will be there.

Cheers bub.

Update - all the remaining kids are still doing well. 2nd trifecta treatment this evening and a 25% wc tomorrow. Everyone's color looks good, the are eating very well and no signs of anything out of the ordinary....baffling

The redness on the yellow coris isn't as bright or defined (but it's still there). None of the fish including the yellow are flashing or hiding. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Update, stopped at the house long enough to feed the fish and give a quick lookover before heading our to sandbag in the inlaws house. Everything is doing great, the spot on the yellow coris is almost gone, everybody is still active and looking great. When I get home this evening I plan to do a 25% wc.

After catching all the fish to put into QT, I had every rock removed. I knew at this point a complete take down and rebuild would be my next move so I took the opportunity to to do just that, cleaned, wiped out and started over. I failed in one area and wanted to pull it out away from the wall. When I had the tank 3/4 of the way refiled I remembered. Dang! Crazy part is the gha plymes I'm getting. I never had it in this tank before! Oh well, after all this I'm really loving the thought of gha, it's semi easy to workout.

Oh well, it will be ready for all my fishy friends when QT is complete. The bta's and invertebrates and all happy since they have total run of the tank.

Best of luck with treatments!

Thanks! So far so good! They are all doing great. All packed in a 36 gallon BF with zero signs of aggression. Im sure to them it was like moving from a mansion to a studio apartment. :D. They will be happy to get back into their own home again.

I wonder of different species have developed different levels of memory storage... as in, capacity but also length of time able to keep the memory to recall later on.

That's an interesting question. I think that would be an interesting thread.

Going good saved 11 of the 20. Lost my leopard and solernisis a couple of weeks ago. All the others are holding their own. Thanks for asking my friend!
