Hello,
So my reeflo pump is leaking again. I am looking to get a new DC submersible pump and wanted to get folks input. My sump is in the basement.

It is 6 feet from pump to the under side of the floor above and approximately another 6 feet to the output into my display. In the basement it is all 1.5” pvc. In DT cabinet it changes to 1” pvc. The photo below shows the how it is laid out. The two outside pvc pipes are for the return into the DT (only labeled one side).

If I am estimating correctly, that’s about 19 feet of head pressure???
My display is 180 gallons and the sump is another 64.
My flow rate should be between 900 and 1800 gph, correct?
Any thoughts on a pump and head height?
Thank you.

Take advantage of the 20% off sale BRS has on the Abyzz pumps before it’s over. They are the best of the best DC pumps made.

I don’t know whether it’s 19’ or not, but it certainly could be with 12’ of vertical height plus all those fittings and valves. Most of the DC pumps don’t handle/aren’t designed for significant back pressure. Although I’ve used neither, the red dragon and abyzz appear to either offer pressure rated options or are better designed for back pressure. But, both are serious coin. More than I’m willing to pay for a return pump. Have you considered something like a panworld 250? No seals to leak. It’ll easily net you 1,400 GPH.
