Head height question for DC pumps

If you can, put your basement sump on a stand. This will help with head height, but also makes it easier to work and to clean... and you can store stuff under it. Just a 2x4 stand is fine.

Also, if you can stick with a PanWorld 150, or less, then the wattage is very minimal and they are much more quiet and stuff.

...I now run a panworld 250 that works well, if a bit nosily …. but its in the basement.
Yeah, that’s part of my trouble: I narrate audiobooks and record a podcast in my basement and am leaning to a DC because more noise is a problem. I’m sure I could build an actively vented baffle box for an AC pump to muffle it, but if I *can* get away with a drop-in DC pump, I think I’d be happier.

Hey can you lend me the new Baldacci ;)

What size tank? I have a little Giant ac pond pump in the basement mix-sta, it says a 21' head but a 12' rise and 18' of hose I get about a gallon a minute maybe 2.

Which model of Little Giant Pump do you use? Little Giant 582507 Magnetic Drive Aquarium Pump, X-MDQX-SC? With the X being the size?
