how did you cycle your aquarium? could fresh water bacteria do this?
sidenote (doubt itll help you directly but...
I started dosing FritzZyme 460 to try and battle some nitrates deep in my rockwork and I can tell you I dropped my nitrated down by half using this stuff. anyways lol

Again, I am not 100% sure what you have is bloom, it just look from the picture like a bloom.
If you put uv for 24 hour straight and water clears up. Then its bloom.
There are some cheap submerged hang on box UVs that I have used and did the trick in 3 days..

This is not quite true. since bacteria multiply exponentially. at some point the fuel will be exhausted and the water will clear - or almost clear. Only to increase again with more fuel.

I was worried OP is dosing carbon or something that is fueling the bloom. Bacteria will eventually stop multiplying based on the ammount of carbon being dosed, but that doesnot mean it will clear the water if the carbon is enough to feed the population on the rocks and in the water column...maybe am wrong.
