heading to long beach area need some advice

will be arriving in signal hill to visit my aunt
was looking for suggestions on stores to visit or anything fish related in the nearby area
also anything not fish related that would be cool to check out

I would advise NOT going in the ocean in Long Beach...

Because one of the biggest ports in the country is in Long Beach and the water is absolutely disgusting. I'd go farther south if you want to hit the beaches...

Can't help as far as LFS go down there but if you feel like heading a bit north there's always Vivid Aquariums

Age of aquariums (lfs) is right there. Also aquarium of the pacific is nearby. If u wanna drive about 30 min, amazing aquariums is worth checking out. Lots of reefers live in the area and have incredible systems they like to share too.

not trying to sell off reef 2 reef but you can check out manhattan reef's lot's of good people on there just to let you know ive been on there for at least a year but im from NY year;s back

Age of aquariums and amazing reefs +2! Amazing reefs is in orange I believe. If you wanna hit he beach, Huntington beach pier is a good spot. Also Newport beach, both beaches are within 30 minutes and have lots to do there. Aquarium of the pacific is cool too, it's close by to signal hill. The orange county fair is going on right now too, lots of things to do there along with a l of great bands playing all the time! Those are the things I suggest doing and are easily googled for more info. PM me if you can't fnd the info! Have fun!
