Healthier Fish: Treated Wild Caught or Captive Bred?

Which is a healthier fish?

This is what swirls in my mind.....if you take a healthy wild caught fish with a robust immune system as it has been exposed to much....then prophylactically medicate that fish....are you wiping the immune system back to figurative 0, or maybe 25% or 50%? Is there a method of QT which might eradicate colonized pathogens effectively but still leave some the immune system intact? TTM? H2O2 dips and TTM?

So then which fish is more robust and would have a better shot of living its full lifespan potential???.....the wild caught fish who has been prophylactically QT'd and perhaps suffered some indolent collateral organ damage because of our treatments OR the captive bred counterpart who in theory shouldn't require such aggressive treatment?
 
I believe both fish are fine as long as 100% quarantine is followed. But I do believe a wild caught fish will be less susceptible to illness due to build an immunity if the fish has ever contracted said illness. For instance if a human gets a strain of the flu we build antibodies to fight off that illness same with fish.
Your response got me thinking about fish immune systems! Turns out it is not as advanced, nor needs to be, compared to the mammalian immune system. Fish rely less on "recognizing" previous pathogens and have a more innate system that attacks invaders in general.
If your DT has wild caught fish that have been through quarantine, they are not free of pathogens. No closed system aquarium is sterile. So a healthy introduced captive bred fish would presumably "equalize" to the pathogens in a given aquarium.

I believe you are to some extent as I believe any quarantine or medication will be detrimental to the long term health, reproductive ability and longevity of the fish.

Here is an interesting article about the fish's immune system - what is odd is the this 'innate' immune system is important - we (humans) have one as well) - the skin - and the layers of the skin - the GI tract - and the lymph tissue in the GI tract. This is about the same age. Makes the point I believe that the innate aspect is probably the main defense while there are parts of the more advanced mamailian system present.
 
I don’t think it matters as much as current environment, tank mates, breeding practices and other factors. Theoretically the captive bred should be more accustomed to aquarium life, not have suffered as much during shipping and just generally be hardier but I’ve seen many a tankful of captive bred clownfish (as an example) in awful condition at different LFS. I’ve also personally not had great success with captive bred fish - clowns in particular. Maybe just my luck or something else but that’s been my experience.
 
Nothing tastes better than fresh-caught wild Ahi. Cooked is probably "healthier" than raw but the taste of raw fresh Ahi is worth the risk, IMO. Besides, how else can one exercise their immune system unless they challenge it?
 
The conversation I have frequently (locally) is whether, regardless of source, a fish that has gone though a cocktail of meds in QT is healthier or lives longer than one that was just observed in QT. I do the latter rather than the former, so no personal data points to draw any conclusions.
I'd challenge that, I think alot of fish exposed to copper love shorter lives
