Heart Breaking Shark week please help

I only use mazuri shark tablets. The silversides are an easy way to hide the tablets

A two inch long green gomi is the name I believe. Cheap reef fish with a blue green color. Fish appeared healthy before consumption

The sharks fins have always been this way.

The previous owner allowed him to be picked on by puffer fish. His eyes and fins were damaged.

I purchased him at 23 inches long and now at 27 inches his eye sight seemed nearly perfect and fins still functioned well despite the rough look

Paragard

Neoplex

Kanaplex

Which of these 3 do you guys recommend?

I have a 60 gallon saltwater tank with nothing inside.

It's only a 20 inch wide tall cylinder but I'm sure he could fit just for treatment.

Or if need be I'll pick something up from lowes

I found a store selling kanaplex. They say it is reef and fish safe so I can treat the whole tank. yes it would be insanely expensive.

I treated the whole tank with Kanaplex today. I will again on Friday and then Sunday.

Cost was $130 due to large tank for single 3 dose treatment.

Fingers crossed improvement is shown this week

Thumper the 2.5 foot bamboo shark is very weak. I am thinking of force feeding him tonight as I fear he will die soon.

Your issue is the nitrates more than anything, these sharks are super sensitive to nitrates. Its always best to keep sharks under 40ppm nitrates, for this reason exactly. they start to deteriorate and cannot breath well, quit eating and their eyes cloud up.

And now since youve dosed the entire tank with antibiotic, you have to keep doing massive water changes to keep up. Id also go buy some fritz turbo start to jump start your cycle again, and start carbon asap.

Also it looks like your Ph is fluctuating ALOT between the two test pictures. Are you using the same salt?

Jay

The other sharks and fish are all fine

Ph I had just done a water change before and after the results

I wasn't told of the massive water change using kanaplex. Thank you

I completed another 20% water change. How long should you wait to test the water perimeters after a water change

I force fed him via tube. I think he spit out 80% of it through his gills. But I think perhaps just a little was digested.

I can say this....You forget these things are sharks till you try to grab one.

The strength for only 2.5 feet and in a weakened state was extraordinary. No way I could hold with one hand and I'm a 250 pound guy. His 6 inch head looked wayyy bigger out of the water up close and personal.

I can only imagine!!!! Sorry for your struggles

Your nitrates are sitting around 80 ppm, not 30 or 40. If you have a hospital tank you can make some clean water in, now is the time to do it.
