Heat management - equipment in stand

The compartment in my stand where my equipment and power strips are housed has very little ventilation. Is this a concern for overheating?

The only opening in the equipment compartment is to the middle sump compartment. There is no external vent as the equipment compartment is in the front of a peninsula. The back compartment (w/ external ventilation cutout) is where the ATO reservoir is.

Is the lack of an external vent for heat to escape a concern for my equipment overheating or dealing with humidity from the sump evaporation?

Not sure if I should install fans to pump air from the equipment compartment out over the sump compartment towards the back compartment that has the external cut out for ventilation.

I’m not sure if I have to totally swap the equipment setup with the ATO compartment so it has external ventilation to avoid overheating...

i had place a desktop fan inside my cabinet. Then i mounted a computer style fan on one of the cabinet doors. This fan sucks fan into the cabinet, then the fan on the inside disperses that air. The back of my stand is also open to let the old hot air escape. Definitely want to manage humidity and heat in there.

Yes. I have a desktop style fan inside my cabinet stand. Then i also have a computer style fan on one of my cabinet doors. This fan sucks cool air into the cabinet. Then the fan inside disperses that cool air. Also the entire back of my stand is open so the old hot air can escape. Definitely want to manage the humidity and heat inside there.

I would recommend blowing air into that space from the room. It will very slightly positively pressurize it and prevent humid air from entering from the sump side.

Unfortunately since this space is at the front end of the peninsula, I can’t install any fans directly into that compartment as it would be an eyesore.

The only thing other than tearing everything down would be to install two fans that push hot air out from the equipment compartment into the sump compartment and then into the ato compartment. But the only fresh room air would be coming from the opposite end of the stand. So I don’t even know how much of that air would reach the equipment compartment on the other end.

I might have to tear everything down and reswap the ATO and thexequipment so that the equipment has the external vent.

It looks like you have some clearance possibly at the front bottom, just inside your doors down to the toe kick. You could cut a hole down there and install a fan. If you could get a hole in the back or side, or even two holes at the bottom to push and pull air would still work.
