Hi I am thinking about downgrading my Red Sea Max 130C to a Red Sea Reefer Nano due to lack of time. I will be getting a Eheim Jager Heater and Chill Solutions CSXC-1 Chiller. I am always worried that the heater or chiller will fail and either make cooked salmon or cold sashimi unexpectedly. Any equipment to stop this from happening?

Apex and Reefkeeper aquarium controllers do this best. Heat/cool controllers such as Inkbird also do a good job.
All these systems have a sensor probe that control a switched outlet which will bring on heaters or cooling apparatus, such as a chiller or fan, as needed. They also guard against failure of the cheep built in thermostats that come with most heaters.

In order of least expensive to most expensive options: inkbird dual controller, ranco dual controller, apex controller.

I have run all of these options. I am currently using inkbirds on the QT tanks and an apex on the main system.

Thank you for your both suggestions! Hahaha I'm so glad I'm not the only one over protective of reef tanks.

Welcome. If you can swing it aquarium controllers like the Apex or Reefkeeper give you quite a few other options towards safeguarding your reef.
