This is what I'm looking at for my cube, I'm getting another heater that I'm not sure what it is yet.
This should be plenty of control and heater for a small tank right?

Yes good choice

75w heater may be too weak depending on the temp of the room or how cool you allow your furnace thermostat to get to overnight. A 100w would be a better choice if you like cooler overnight room temps.

I wouldn't have thought of that, I can go for the 100w, thanks!

Inkbird is fine, Ranco is better (more reliable, but also more expensive, but not much), but with a thermostat on the heater, then it is truly redundant in case anything happens.

In an ideal world, you set your temp controller to 78 degrees, and the heater to 78.5. That way when the controller comes on, the heater comes on too... and if the controller sticks on, then the heater will shut off .5 degrees later.

Some Inkbird models will fail if you put the probe into saltwater and need a protective sleeve. Some are made for it. Read up on your model.

I will check into that brand. I'd rather spend a little extra for the peace of mind and have less to worry about later.
Is there a particular model that you would sign?
Thanks
