I recently swapped out the cheap Hygger heater controller for an Ink Bird unit and I noticed that the temperature range in my tank increased almost 3x. With the cheap Hygger controller I had a temperature range of ±0.4deg from the set point and now its closer to ±1deg from the set point.

Does anyone know if this is something I can adjust? If not then this controller will be relegated to backup and I'll be sticking with the Hygger unit. In the graph below, you can see exactly where I swapped the units at about 09:30 last night.

I haven't used the Hygger controller, but this resembles the Inkbird-controlled temperature graph on my Apex. Since I've never been able to get my graph to look like your pre-Inkbird one, my guess is no.

I think the reason for this is that the polling interval on the Inkbird is too long, so it's both overheating when it should be shutting off and sitting idle when it should be heating.

I own 2 heatbird controllers for my 75 gallon, and u need to adust in the settings the temperature difference so let's your hygger is 76, and your inkbird is 82 u need to set that -3 difference in the settings.
