Just had my first heater die after about 10 months of use. Aquatop D2HT-300 in 92 gallons. From the reviews i read, it looks like this is common. Can someone reccommend me a heater that lasts more than a few years? I would rather do this right than cheap.

Jager heaters seem good and are reasonable, but there are many others that work well. I stick with jager and have on going on 2 years but I only use it to heat water for change now.

i have a Cobalt Neotherm but i found that it got stuck once when using it with a controller. using it's own temp control, it has been great. i also use Eheim heaters that work great w/ any controller. i've had these for almost 2yrs.
