I had a 800w Finnex heater blown up last night. I’ve pulled all the large chunks of metal and debris out of the tank. But there seems to be a lot of metallic floaties still in the sand and water column. Looking for suggestions. Fish seem to be ok and corals are retracted but I’m hopeful they’re still ok.

It's a 220 gallon tank so it's nearly impossible to get it all. I'm mixing water now and plan to vacuum the sand. Is there anything harmful in that could have gotten into the water?

Is it metal.shards in tank? If so old a magnet help get it out poss? Chemical wise yes water changes and some filtering

Assuming it’s really titanium, magnet is of minimal use as titanium is only very weakly magnetic.

From their website: "Please Note: Additional heating units may be required and discouraged from using in extraordinary setups (where warranty may be void) not limited to: Applications outside of standard aquarium use, basement setups, garage setups, ponds, outdoor use, greenhouses, extreme temperature conditions, etc."

In other words if you make it work hard it might fail. Sad.
