So my I went away for a week and my heater failed. Tank was 65 when I got home. I lost a nice size ponape birdsnest and some blue symposiums. Nothing else.

Got a new heater. Temp is back to 77 and my lps is opening back up nicely.

Anyway I have my old heater in my mixing bucket for saltwater. And it seems to be working so I don't know why it stopped heating.

Apex. When I got home I checked the outlet for power with a meter. And unplugging it and plugging it back in didn't seem to help heat the water. Once a switched heater on same outlet, tank heat started to rise. I set alarms on apex now. Wish I new it was so easy with apex fusion.

I didn't want to say it first, but my guess was Apex. I think this is the fourth thread I've run into recently where there's an Apex at the heart of the problem...seems like there's too much complexity...or something.

Glad you got it working and have some kind of alarm in case it happens again.
