Got tired of suction cups. Fits 4mm glass for the Red Sea Reefer series (overflow wall). Can be adjusted for size of glass and length. Takes 2" O-rings. Printed in polycarbonate.

Thanks. I had considered the acrylic holders but unfortunately my sump configuration in the cabinet wouldn't allow for it. The only spot available was the overflow wall for that size heater, and a magnet and the bubble trap would have been a nightmare, ok not a nightmare but just a pain to deal with during tank maintenance as I tend to keep the sump clean.

A few tips for folks looking to print stuff like this. Choose a material with a high glass transition as these materials tend to be stiffer and not want to warp easily both in the presence of water and with the tension from the o-ring. PLA and Nylon would be poor choices. PETG, TGlase, PC, should do just fine. HTPLA once annealed could also possible work. Also avoid attaching the bracket anywhere along the heater where the coil is (ie the bottom 3/4). Any of the materials commonly printed with will certainly end up in a warped part. Acrylic holders should be fine as they have a much higher Tg.

What do you think about pvc for this? I like to be able to see the power light, with what I came up with it is only possible by having the holder about an ince down onto the coil....

Very nice and super creative.

If you got a Dremel tool then just create a notch in the PVC Tee where the light would be. Or you could go all out and just get a clear PVC Tee.
