Thoughts and opinions on putting heaters in an overflow tower? The EHIEM theater I bought is 19" long, and the only place it could possibly go is inside the overflow tower. I haven't plumbed the bean animal yet, but let's say I could fit two comfortably without touching the standpipes. It would work or better think twice?

Generally you want to put your heater somewhere where it'll always be submerged. If your tank loses power or you turn off return pumps for maintenance the heater could potentially be out of water, get hot, and break when reintroduced to colder water.

That's exactly where I put mine. Same heater, Marineland 100 gal cube. Works perfectly. Even if power shuts off, the heater is still submerged. Tank is 24 inches tall.
